How did it all start? Phoebe and Shenn started collecting vintage furniture out of interest. They decided that it was so much fun that they wanted to make it into something bigger. And how nice would it be to fill a whole shop with these lovely vintage pieces and feed people with the delicious cakes and bakes that Shenn would make. So they asked their friend Eunice who liked to make things pretty if she wanted to join in the fun to make the dream a reality and as they say, the rest is history.

 

Shenn, the owner of Carpenter and Cook trained at the prestigious Cordon Bleu in London and honed her skills at artisan bakery and chocolate shop Cocomaya before moving back to Singapore to realize her dream of starting her own bakery. Not satisfied with just churning out simple cakes and tarts, she has also created a whole range of packaged goods like marshmallows and jams.
